May 1995

In May 1995 it was 50 years ago that all the German forces in the Netherlands capitulated. To celebrate this fact all over the country events were held. In many of these events vehicles dating from World War Two participated.

The next three photos show a Highspeed tractor, a Sherman tank on trailer and a Dodge Carry-All. These vehicles were present at a liberation event on the airforcebase Soesterberg.

The following photos were taken on an industrialzone near the city of Haarlem. This is where the vehicles gathered for the parade through the old inner-city of Haarlem the next day.
