A short biography
I was born on the 8th of may 1970. Together with my father, mother and 3 years younger brother I enjoyed a happy youth in Zwanenburg, a little town near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After Highschool I studied Political Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Nowadays I work as a staff employee for the Flower Auction Aalsmeer.
My hobbies and interests
World War 2 My main interest goes to the liberation of western Europe in 1944: the invasion, operation Market Garden, the battle of the Bulge. I 've read a lot of books, visit(ed) many museums, and have seen many documentaries on these battles. I do make battlefield trips once I am on holidays.
Military vehicles For you who haven't noticed yet; I am interested in military vehicles dating from World War Two. I do have a 1943 Ford jeep (GPW <->95539*) together with my dad, a 1942 Dodge WC54 ambulance and 4 ex military bicycles (BSA folding Bike, Swedish Kronan and 2 Swiss Condor bikes)
4WD vehicles My first car was a Suzuki LJ-80Q jeep from 1980. Since then all the cars I have owned are 4WDs. After the LJ came two other Suzuki 4WDs : a SJ410V and a SJ413Q. My current car is a Daihatsu Feroza 4WD.
