On this page you can see photos of vehicles that belonged to the collection of the General George C. Marshall, Ground Transportation Museum. The Marshall Museum could be found in Zwijndrecht, The Netherlands. It has moved to the National War Museum at Overloon.The collection consists of over 150 US military vehicles. The Marshall Museum exhibit provides an excellent overview of the American transportation systems used in the period 1941-1945. Many types, including jeeps, trucks, trailers, amphibious vehicles,mobile workshops and landing-craft are in top-class condition. Their restoration has been thorough: down to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt in full working order. Important events out of World War Two are respresented by huge dioramas. Among the events covered by the dioramas are the Normandy Invasion, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge. All vehicles in the collection are 100% restored and running. Most of the vehicles date from the World War Two era although post war vehicles can also be seen. For the adress see the end of this page.
